Tomato Bruschetta

Ingredients
2 lb
ripe tomatoes, cored, halved, chopped
3 cloves
garlic (2 grated, 1 halved)
to taste
kosher salt
to taste
black pepper
5 Tbsp
extra-virgin olive oil
1 Tbsp
red wine vinegar
1 loaf
ciabatta, sliced
¼ cup
fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
STEP 1
Combine tomatoes and garlic in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Add oil and vinegar; mix well. Let marinate for 2-3 hours.
STEP 2
To toast bread: Heat oil in a skillet. Toast slices until golden, about 3 minutes per side. To grill: Drizzle oil over sliced bread, grill until charred, 2-3 minutes per side.
STEP 3
Rub toasted bread with garlic. Add basil to tomatoes; toss. Spoon mixture over bread slices. Serve immediately.
