The Best Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
2 3/4 cups
all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons
fine salt
1 teaspoon
baking powder
1 teaspoon
baking soda
2 1/2 sticks
unsalted butter, softened
1 3/4 cups
packed dark brown sugar
2
large eggs, at room temperature
2 teaspoons
pure vanilla extract
12 ounces
semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
STEP 1
Sift flour, salt, baking powder, and soda together.
STEP 2
Beat butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
STEP 3
Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
STEP 4
Blend in dry ingredients until combined, then stir in chocolate chips.
STEP 5
Wrap dough in plastic and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
STEP 6
Preheat oven to 375°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
STEP 7
Scoop tablespoon-sized dough onto sheets 2 inches apart.
STEP 8
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden around edges. Cool on racks.
