Spicy Chicken Penne alla Vodka
Ingredients
1 pound
penne pasta
1 tablespoon
butter
3
chicken breasts
1 teaspoon
Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon
salt
1
shallot
4 cloves
garlic
1/2 teaspoon
red pepper flakes
1 (28 ounce) can
tomato purée
1/2 cup
heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoon
vodka
1/2 cup
Parmesan cheese
4 leaves
basil
Instructions
STEP 1
Boil water, add penne, cook until tender.
STEP 2
Melt butter in skillet over medium heat.
STEP 3
Season chicken, cook until no longer pink.
STEP 4
Sauté shallot and garlic until fragrant.
STEP 5
Stir in tomato purée, cream, vodka, and cheese.
STEP 6
Slice chicken, add to skillet, and combine.
STEP 7
Toss pasta with sauce, garnish with basil, and serve.
