Simple Cashew Mac & Cheese
Ingredients
1 cup
cashews
1/4 cup
nutritional yeast
1 teaspoon
garlic powder
1 teaspoon
onion powder
2 tablespoons
lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon
salt
2 cups
pasta
Instructions
STEP 1
Soak the cashews in water for at least 2 hours or overnight.,
STEP 2
Drain and rinse the cashews, then blend them with nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt until smooth.,
STEP 3
Cook your pasta according to package instructions, then drain and return to the pot.,
STEP 4
Pour the cashew sauce over the pasta and stir until well combined.,
STEP 5
Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
