Salted Caramel Sauce
Ingredients
1 cup
white sugar
5 tablespoons
butter
1/2 cup
heavy cream
1 tablespoon
heavy whipping cream
1 pinch
sea salt
Instructions
STEP 1
Place sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
STEP 2
Stir continuously until sugar begins to melt.
STEP 3
Cook until sugar turns dark amber and begins to smoke.
STEP 4
Remove from heat and wait 30 seconds.
STEP 5
Whisk in butter until melted.
STEP 6
Slowly pour in cream, being cautious of bubbling.
STEP 7
Sprinkle in sea salt and stir to combine.
STEP 8
Transfer to a jar and cool before refrigerating.
