Poppy Form Cake

Ingredients
1 can (12.5 oz)
Poppy seed cake & pastry filling
1 cup
Shortening or butter
1 1/2 cups
Sugar

Eggs, separated
1 tsp
Vanilla
1 cup
Sour cream
2 1/2 cups
Sifted flour
1 tsp
Baking soda
1 tsp
Salt
Instructions

Add poppy filling.

Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Blend in vanilla and sour cream.

Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt.

Add sifted dry ingredients to poppy mixture, beating well.

Fold in stiffly whipped egg whites.

Pour into greased 9 or 10 inch tube or Bundt pan.

Bake at 350°F about an hour and 15 minutes.

Cool 5 minutes and remove from pan.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar or cool and glaze.
