Ingredients

peeled plum tomatoes

Instructions

Drain tomatoes, then crush them slightly.

Heat olive oil in a pan, add garlic, cook briefly.

Add drained tomatoes to the pan, cook until sticky.

Add reserved tomato liquid and basil stalks, simmer.

Remove basil stalks, blend for a smooth sauce if desired.

Mix pasta with sauce, splash of pasta water, and butter.

Season and add basil leaves, serve with parmesan.
