Hearty Slow Cooker Chili

Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs
ground beef
1 large
onion, chopped
2 cloves
garlic, minced
1 (15 oz) can
kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 (15 oz) can
black beans, drained and rinsed
1 (15 oz) can
diced tomatoes, undrained
1 (8 oz) can
tomato sauce
1 (4 oz) can
diced green chilies
1 1/2 cups
beef broth
2 tablespoons
chili powder
1 tablespoon
ground cumin
1 teaspoon
paprika
1 teaspoon
dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon
salt
1/2 teaspoon
black pepper
Optional
toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions, chopped cilantro
Instructions

Once the beef is cooked through, drain any excess grease and transfer the beef to a slow cooker.

Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, diced green chilies, beef broth, chili powder, ground cumin, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to the slow cooker. Stir well to combine.

Cook the chili on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours until the flavors have melded together, and the chili has thickened.

Serve hot with your choice of optional toppings.
