Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9-inch square pan. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and orange zest. Set aside.

Cream butter and 3/4 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Mix in the flour mixture alternately with milk, mixing just until incorporated. Stir in walnuts.

Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool while making honey syrup.

For the honey syrup: Combine honey, 1 cup sugar, and water in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in lemon juice, bring to a boil, and cook for 2 minutes.

Cut cake into diamond shapes and pour honey syrup over the cake.
