Easy One-Pot Pasta Dinner

Ingredients

spaghetti
1 can
diced tomatoes
1 cup
chopped onions
2 cloves
minced garlic
1 teaspoon
dried Italian herbs
1 teaspoon
salt
1/2 cup
grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon
olive oil
to taste
black pepper
optional
fresh parsley
Instructions
STEP 1
Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a large pot over medium-high heat.,
STEP 2
Add 8 ounces of spaghetti, 1 can of diced tomatoes (including juice), 1 cup of chopped onions, 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of dried Italian herbs, and 1 teaspoon of salt into the pot.,
STEP 3
Stir the ingredients together, making sure the pasta is submerged in the liquid.,
STEP 4
Reduce heat to medium and simmer uncovered for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is cooked and most of the liquid is absorbed.,
STEP 5
Stir in 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and 1 tablespoon of olive oil.,
STEP 6
Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.,
STEP 7
Serve warm with a sprinkle of fresh parsley if desired.
