Classic Banana Bread
Ingredients
3-4 very ripe
bananas
3/4 cup
brown sugar
1/4 cup
white sugar
2
eggs
2 tsp
vanilla extract
1/2 cup
butter (1 stick) Real butter. At room temp.
1 cup
all purpose flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
salt
Instructions
STEP 1
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4x8-inch loaf pan and set aside.,
STEP 2
In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter.,
STEP 3
Stir in the baking soda and salt.,
STEP 4
Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, mixing well.,
STEP 5
Gradually fold in the flour until just combined. Do not overmix.,
STEP 6
If desired, fold in the chopped walnuts or pecans.,
STEP 7
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.,
STEP 8
Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.,
STEP 9
Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
