Cinnamon Baked French Toast
Ingredients
1 tablespoon
Butter
1 loaf
Crusty sourdough or French bread
8 whole
Eggs
2 cups
Whole milk
1/2 cup
Heavy cream
1/2 cup
Granulated sugar
1/2 cup
Brown sugar
2 tablespoons
Vanilla extract
1/2 cup
All-purpose flour
1/2 cup
Firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon
Ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon
Salt
1 teaspoon
Freshly grated nutmeg
1 stick
Butter, cut into pieces
1 cup
Fresh blueberries
Warm pancake syrup

Instructions
STEP 1
Grease the baking pan with butter.
STEP 2
Tear the bread into chunks and distribute in the pan.
STEP 3
In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugars, and vanilla.
STEP 4
Pour the mixture evenly over the bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
STEP 5
For the topping, mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg in a bowl.
STEP 6
Cut in cold butter until resembling fine pebbles. Store in the fridge.
STEP 7
Preheat oven to 350°F. Sprinkle topping over bread mixture.
STEP 8
Bake for 45 minutes for softer texture or up to 1 hour for firmer texture.
STEP 9
Serve with butter, warm syrup, and blueberries.
