Place the slices of bread in the egg mixture, turning to coat both sides, then set aside for a couple of minutes to absorb.,

Melt the butter in a large non-stick frying pan over a medium heat. Sprinkle the bread slices with half the sugar and place in the pan, sugar side down. Sprinkle the top with the remaining sugar and cook for 4 minutes, or until golden brown, turning halfway through.,
