Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry
Recipe
Ingredients
1 pound
beef sirloin, thinly sliced
3 cups
fresh broccoli florets
2 tablespoons
soy sauce
1 tablespoon
oyster sauce
1 teaspoon
cornstarch
1/4 cup
beef broth
2 tablespoons
vegetable oil
1 clove
garlic, minced
1 teaspoon
ginger, minced
Instructions
1
In a bowl, combine 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon oyster sauce, 1 teaspoon cornstarch, and 1/4 cup beef broth to make the stir-fry sauce. Set aside.
2
Wash and cut 3 cups of fresh broccoli florets into bite-sized pieces.
3
Heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
4
Add the beef strips to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the beef is browned but not fully cooked. Remove beef from skillet and set aside.
5
In the same skillet, add 1 clove minced garlic and 1 teaspoon minced ginger. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
6
Add the broccoli florets to the skillet along with a splash of water to create steam. Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes until broccoli is tender but still crisp.
7
Return the beef strips to the skillet and pour in the prepared stir-fry sauce. Stir everything together and cook for another 2 minutes until the beef is cooked through and sauce thickens slightly.
8
Remove from heat and serve immediately, ideally over steamed rice for a complete meal.
