Combine water chestnuts, soy sauce, and garlic powder in a small bowl; toss to coat. Marinate for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.

Drain water chestnuts; discard soy sauce. Place 1 pineapple chunk in center of each bacon half, then place 1 water chestnut on top. Fold ends of bacon over water chestnut; secure with a toothpick. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Toss bacon-wrapped items in brown sugar; place on lined baking sheet.
STEP 4
Bake for 25 minutes; flip pieces over. Bake until desired doneness, 15 to 35 minutes. Transfer to paper towel to drain briefly. Serve hot.
