Instructions
STEP 1
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).,
STEP 2
In a large bowl, combine 6 cups of thinly sliced apples, 1 cup of granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Toss to coat the apples evenly and set aside for 15 minutes.,
STEP 3
Roll out one pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish. Add the apple mixture to the crust and dot with 2 tablespoons of butter.,
STEP 4
Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the filling. Seal the edges and cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.,
STEP 5
Bake for 15 minutes at 425°F (220°C), then reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 30-35 minutes until the apples are tender and the crust is golden brown.,
