Apple Pie Tiramisu

Instructions
STEP 1
Gather all ingredients.
STEP 2
Prepare Apple Filling: Stir together apple pie filling, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg in a bowl until combined. Reserve 1/4 cup apple slices; roughly mash remaining mixture.
STEP 3
Prepare Tiramisu: In a large bowl, combine mascarpone. In another bowl, beat cream, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, salt, and nutmeg until soft peaks form.
STEP 4
Whisk a third of cream into mascarpone; fold in remaining cream until combined.
STEP 5
Pour apple cider in a shallow bowl, quickly dip ladyfingers in cider, then arrange in a baking dish.
STEP 6
Spread half of the apple filling over ladyfingers. Drizzle with caramel sauce and top with half of mascarpone. Repeat layers.
STEP 7
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or up to 24 hours.
STEP 8
When ready to serve, chop reserved apple slices, uncover, and top tiramisu with apples and caramel drizzle; garnish with pecans if desired.
